About Me

I'm a Canadian Sound Designer. Growing up in a small Ontario town, I found solace in the basement watching TV, movies, and playing video games. Although I dabbled in music by trying my hand at drums, it was the captivating world of voice acting and sound effects that truly fascinated me. Even as a child, I was intrigued by the creative process behind iconic sounds, like the animal origins of Chewbacca's voice in Star Wars.

While I always had a deep interest in audio, I initially saw it as more of a hobby than a viable career. Coming from a small town, my focus was on finding a stable profession that would provide financial security. After exploring different paths, including studying to become a Police Officer, I discovered my true passion during a web programming course that included a short lesson on Audio cleanup. The joy I experienced sitting there trying to make the cleanest lock sound I could led me to delve deeper into the subject. This was what led to a friend's suggestion that I look into LaSalle College Vancouver, known for its game design program, which also offered an audio Diploma. This experience reignited my passion and introduced me to the world of sound effects and Foley.

During my time at LaSalle College, I had the privilege of learning from industry professionals, solidifying my love for the captivating aspects of audio. I collaborated with game design students on exciting projects, including the game "Chimera Island" which we released on Steam. The program nourished my drive for creating immersive soundscapes, and my passion for working with dialogue remains strong. Afterwards I have stepped foot into the freelance world of audio. With endless opportunities in the audio realm, I am excited to showcase my skills to the world.

This project was created in Unity with me implementing via the audio manager set up by the programmers. All sounds were original creations by me.
